The Show

Nothing ever happens here.

Except when it does.

How It Started

Every small town has a secret.

Nothing Ever Happens Here began with a simple question: What happens when a small town stops asking questions? Not because a case was solved—but because the town was too small, the headlines moved on, witnesses stayed silent, or the truth was simply buried beneath the belief that nothing ever happens here.

This show exists because those cases deserve the same attention as the ones that make national headlines. The same rigor. The same pressure. The same refusal to look away.

"The most dangerous thing you can say about a place is that nothing ever happens there."

I know what it's like to have your life changed by violence. I also know what it means to refuse to let that story end there.

    Your Host

    Jamie Dalton

    Host

Jamie Dalton is the creator and host of *Nothing Ever Happens Here*, a podcast dedicated to telling the stories that are too often overlooked—missing persons, unsolved murders, and unanswered questions from small towns across America. Growing up in a small town, Jamie understands both the strength and the complexity of close-knit communities. She also knows that when tragedy strikes, silence, assumptions, and limited resources can leave families searching for answers for decades. As a survivor of sexual assault, Jamie brings a deeply personal understanding of trauma, resilience, and the lasting impact violent crime has on victims, families, and entire communities. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she has chosen to transform them into purpose: creating a space where forgotten cases are revisited with compassion, integrity, and respect. With a background in nursing and patient advocacy, Jamie approaches every case with empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to the people behind the headlines. *Nothing Ever Happens Here* isn't about sensationalizing tragedy—it's about giving a voice to those who have been overlooked, honoring victims, and reminding listeners that every unsolved case represents a real person who mattered. Because even in the smallest towns, someone's story deserves to be heard. And somewhere, someone is still waiting for answers.

    Why I Do This

The record should be set straight.

    Accuracy first

We don't speculate without evidence. Every claim is sourced. Every name is verified. We'd rather say less than say something wrong.

    Victims, not victims

The people in these cases were full human beings before they became cases. We try to remember that in every episode.

    Pressure without harassment

We name names when the record supports it. We don't publish personal addresses, encourage contact with subjects, or treat this as entertainment.

    Small towns, real stakes

Rural communities are underserved by national media. We believe that's not an accident — and we intend to keep showing up anyway.
